50 g | 1 3/4 oz | 1 cup millet flakes

500 ml | 18 fl oz | 2 cups water

100 ml | 3 1/2 fl oz | 7 tbsp plain unsweetened kefir

ground cinnamon (optional)


1 Combine the millet flakes and water in a heavy-based saucepan.

2 Set the saucepan over a medium heat, stirring frequently, until the the millet absorbs the water and has thickened into a porridge, 5-6 minutes.

3 Remove from the heat and stir through the kefir to give it a creamy consistency.

4 Divide between serving bowls and garnish with a pinch of ground cinnamon, if desired.
