Ingredients:


2 large turnips, peeled and cut into even chunks


80 ml | 3 fl oz | 1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil


sea salt


freshly ground black pepper




Method:


1 Cook the turnip in a large saucepan of salted, boiling water until tender to the point of a knife, about 25-30 minutes.



2 Drain well and leave to steam off for 2 minutes.



3 Return the turnip to the saucepan they were cooked in and add the olive oil and some salt and pepper.

4 Mash thoroughly before serving as a side dish.
